Many are called, but few are chosen. The scholarship application for students who seek to pursue an environmental career isn’t going to be easy. Just think about it. You’re competing with thousands of equally deserving eco-warriors!

But don’t fret. Take a deep breath. Relax. Like most of your conservation projects, the end goal will always be worth the sweat, tears, and sleepless nights. You’re going to be an eco-warrior scholar someday!

The planet is worth fighting for. Trust us, applying for a scholarship is already winning half the battle. Studying under a scholarship is a great way to ease your financial worries so you can focus on studying about the environment and pursuing your advocacy. Check out these scholarships and find out what’s best for you!

Fostering Education & Environment for Development (FEED) Scholarship Program

If you’re a student from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) or Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), this scholarship opportunity might be worth a try. Thanks to FEED Inc., students who take agro-forestry and other related courses can enjoy scholarship perks and privileges. Regardless if you’re an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate student. More chances of bagging the scholarship!

FEED regularly teams up with schools to expand its reach and impact, particularly in the field of sustainability. Their mission? To implement food security programs and  encourage sustainable development in the country.

Department of Science and Technology Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) Scholarship

The DOST-SEI is one of the most sought-after scholarships in the country because of its many perks, including tuition and other school fees, book allowance, and health insurance to name a few. This scholarship paves the way for underprivileged students to pursue undergraduate studies in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Taking up STEM courses inspires you to think through real world-inspired scenarios, and find solutions for it. If you’re eyeing to be a food scientist or an environmental consultant in the future, this scholarship is for you!

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Scholarship

Here’s a rock-solid opportunity for students who wish to take up Geology, Mining Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering courses in college (pun intended). The DENR Mines and Geosciences Bureau is offering a scholarship for Earth-saving people like you! The scholarship will cover tuition and transportation costs throughout your study. You’ll also receive a monthly stipend and employment opportunity after graduation. How’s that for a deal? To the rock-stars and champions of renewable energy, we’re rooting for you!

Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellowship

The YSEALI Academic Fellowships aim to raise young leaders to have a deeper understanding about Civic Engagement, Environmental Issues and Natural Resource Management and Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development. The five-week fellowship will equip you with seminar discussions, readings, group presentations, and lectures from inspiring people around the world. Not to mention, opportunities for cultural immersion!

This is your chance to bring your ideas to the table. Lay down your plans of proposing a curriculum that tackles climate change. Or your hopes of building a conservation site for tamaraws! If you love tackling environmental issues and taking leadership roles, then you’re a candidate to beat.

Take note: the fellowship is open for young leaders who are 18-25 years old. You got this!

Let your advocacies be heard. Seizing your dream scholarship is a good first step to do it. We hope this opportunity inspires you to serve the people well, and eventually, save the environment! Because tbh, you can.
