More often than not, learning how to effectively tell a narrative to the right audience, helps distinguish you from the crowd and creates a memorable impression. A number of today’s most successful campaigns did well because of the stories they’ve told – stories that people can relate to and, even, sparked strong emotions.. After all, people might forget what you say, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel.
You learn to think on your feet.
Trends come and go. Things can change in an instant. Even though you’ve thought out your entire execution plan down to what shade of pink for your logo is most appealing to your market, you need to be open to last-minute changes. Marketing is about understanding what works and staying relevant to your message, without mindlessly jumping onto the bandwagon.
In an age where everything is now accessible with the touch of a button, you need to be able to innovate and grow. A cautionary warning though: don’t overthink too much. The biggest changes can sometimes come in tiny packages – sometimes, you don’t even need to think out of the box to be noticed. There’s as much value in finding more efficient ways to do things and improving current practices.
