Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA) is recognized as one of the top-performing aeronautical engineering schools in the Philippines. PhilSCA began as the Basa Air Base College in Pampanga as a solution to the member procurement and training problem of the Philippine Air Force. It was renamed to the Philippine Air Force College of Aeronautics before finally becoming the Philippine State College of Aeronautics in 1992. Through various legislative measures, the community college was converted to its current state college status.
With four campuses around the country, PhilSCA is the only school of such kind in the country that provides master and doctoral degrees in aeronautical education and management. PhilSCA also offers bachelor programs in aeronautical engineering, airline operation, aviation communication, among others. The institution also covers basic and advance ground course and flight training.
Adhering to its mission and vision, most graduates of PhilSCA work for government institutions such as the Philippine Air Force, the Air Transportation Office, as well as private aviation companies and schools. The state college has been consistent in producing topnotchers in the aeronautical licensure examinations.
