The Rizal Technological University (RTU) was established in 1969 as the College of Rizal in response to the need of a higher education institution in the Province of Rizal. It started offering classes in business, education, and liberal arts. It became Rizal Technological Colleges when the College of Rizal and Rizal Technological High School merged through the Presidential Decree No. 674. It finally gained its university status in 1997 under the Republic Act. No. 8365.
Rizal Technological University’s mandate is to provide scientific, technological, and specialized instructions in Engineering, Education, Business, and Entrepreneurial Technology. It has five (5) colleges under its belt while its main focus is in Architecture, Engineering, and Technology programs.
The university continues to uphold its commitment of being the leading partner in nurturing Filipino students. It aims to produce excellent and dynamic programs that will respond to the ever-changing demands of the society.
